NHRDI Initiatives
NHRDI develops research-informed initiatives that translate serious inquiry into practical public benefit. Our current lead initiative, the Chicago Brain Baseline Initiative (CBBI), focuses on early awareness, education, and responsible access to non-clinical brain baseline data in community settings.
Why the Chicago Brain Baseline Initiative (CBBI) Exists
Brain-related concerns are often addressed only after they become visible problems. CBBI exists to move that conversation earlier by expanding access to brain health awareness, education, and non-clinical baseline data before a crisis point.
Many individuals and families still lack:
• basic brain health education
• a reference point for understanding change over time
• non-stigmatizing, community-based access to baseline tracking
CBBI exists to help close that gap.
For each funded program cycle, NHRDI provides:
• pre- and post-program understanding metrics
• transparent reporting on fund usage
• impact summaries for grantors and partners
This supports both public trust and responsible program learning.
The Chicago Brain Baseline Initiative serves as a pilot model for future NHRDI initiatives. It demonstrates how research-informed education, ethical data use, and community engagement can work together in real-world settings. As needs, partnerships, and learning evolve, the initiative is designed to grow responsibly and transparently.
